About our role

Swire Properties is seeking a talented English Editor to join its team in an exciting hybrid role. This position will sit within the Company’s new Employee Experience team, and will be responsible for creating compelling content to engage our internal and external audiences. The English Editor will develop copy for a wide range of communications, including eDMs, HR policies, marketing initiatives, and various employee engagement campaigns.This is a highly collaborative role, and will involve frequent liaison with both Swire Properties’ Public Affairs team and the Employee Experience team.

Responsibilities will include

  • Act as a business partner to the HR department for employee communications

  • Develop communication strategies for key initiatives led by the HR department

  • Develop a content calendar for the year to deliver on these strategies and operational requirements

  • Develop copy for and edit various collaterals, including eDMs, news stories, and features

  • Edit internal HR policies and documents

  • Edit external content for employer branding and marketing initiatives

  • Develop ideas on how to engage staff, and help co-ordinate exciting employee engagement campaigns

  • Leverage on suitable channels of communication, including the Company intranet, corporate newsletter, videos, and social media platforms

  • Advise and execute on the internal communications strategy for various campaigns developed by the Employee Experience team

Together with creativity, integrity and passion, our ideal staff should be / have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related subject

  • 5 years of work experience in corporate communications, journalism, or publishing

  • Native English speaker with exceptional English writing and editing skills. Proficiency in Cantonese is advantageous

  • Creative, outgoing and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong stakeholder management, action-oriented and driven to deliver results

  • Experience in digital journalism and social media literacy a plus
