About our role

We are now looking for a talented Building Surveyor to be part of our dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Manager / Manager, Technical Services, the incumbent will be responsible for repair, maintain and upgrade the building fabrics and structure of residential buildings. He/She will be required to assist in budget preparation, recommending maintenance strategies, overseeing compliance with building regulations and supervising team members.

Responsibilities will include
  • Plan, implement, and monitor large-scale maintenance works, improvement projects, and major external wall repairs
  • Prepare the annual budget, recommend maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with building regulations
  • Handle tenant inquiries by providing technical advice and preparing specifications for maintenance and repair works
  • Liaise with contractors and consultants, and supervise their performance
  • Prepare presentation materials and attend owners' meetings
  • Lead and supervise the team to achieve satisfactory performance

Together with creativity, integrity and passion, our ideal staff should be / have
  • Degree in Building Surveying or related disciplines
  • Qualified Professional Building Surveyor (MHKIS or MRICS) or equivalent
  • Qualified Construction Industry Safety Training Cert (Green Card)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance of building fabric, alternation and addition works of residential buildings, with 3 years post qualification experience
  • Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organisation moving forward
  • Achieves results, even under tough circumstances
  • Builds strong teams through partnerships and works collaboratively. Applies their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
  • Experience in dealing with owners’ corporations/owners’ committees would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Willing to attend night meetings and 24-hour emergency calls
  • Good computer skills on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
